Orff Schulwerk and Mr Crotchet

I spent last week attending an accredited Orff Schulwerk Level 1 - music training.

We spent time learning how to teach children ostinatis, cannons and the like with minimal vocalisation from the teacher. Hand and facial gestures, imitation and echoing all formed part of the repetoire.

I certainly will be implimenting such techniques in my workshops as I move around schools, kindergartens and the like. It dovetails nicely with Mr.Crotchet's methodology and certainly makes the learning experience fun and enjoyable (and memorable!)
